About Me

I am Tonya,
the Farmer's Wyfe.
I am not a born farmer,

but I married a man who loves farming

 and found that it's my idea of a wonderful life as well.

We don't farm full-time,
just in every spare moment after my Farmer's first job is done.

But farming land comes with a farm house,
and in order to afford the land,
often the house is in need of,

well,
 time, money, attention
and
work.

This blog is about our lives
and love

 and all the stuff in between.

This includes the fixing up, the painting,

the decorating;

 the gardening, the canning, the cooking,

the flower gardens,

the animals and their friends:

the children who run around and step in the mud,
barn stuff,
wet paint,
and scatter the pile of dirt that I fully intend to get around to sweeping up.

We are Christians,
and feel that our farm was exactly the one
that God had for us.
We hope to please Him by it
and in our lives.
So we're content,
or try to be
even when the sump pump goes up,
the roof leaks,
the tractor breaks down,
a calf gets sick
the toilet clogs,
and the floods come through our yard
from living in the valley
where it all comes down;
because life involves all the adventures God guides us through.

 Thank you for showing an interest in my blog.
I hope you won't find us a waste of your minutes here.
We try hard to entertain all who pass through.

 Have a happy day!

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths."
